2 Corinthians 8:9 says:
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
The battle against poverty is also the battle to secure economic freedom. You must realize that if a person is not economically free, he or she is not yet free. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). But the truth, if not applied, cannot make you free. When you apply the truth that you know, freedom is the result you derive.
