“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…” (2 Peter 3:18)
Grace, like every other spiritual gift, is a living force and therefore requires growth.
The grace of God deposited into your life is not meant to be stagnant; it is meant to grow!
If you do not allow this rich deposit of grace in you to grow, you will frustrate it. Concerning this, the Scripture says: “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” (Galatians 2: 21)
May you not frustrate this grace in your life!
Many have failed the grace of God by giving room to bitterness, unforgiveness, envy and the like. Beware of these vices and do not be deceived to get involved in any of them! The Scripture says: “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled” (Hebrews 12:15)
You shall not fail the grace of God in your life!
Every day has its peculiar challenges; explains why there is need to grow in grace to be able to effectively handle them. The Bible says: “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:34)
If there is evil sufficient for every day, then much more, there is grace sufficient for each day; for the Bible says: Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits (Psalms 68:19).
Hallelujah! One of the benefits for each day is grace.
In my next write-up, i will be discussing how you can grow in grace.
Shalom!
