The stronghold is another strategy of vandals of destiny. This is the most severe of all because it goes from generation to generation. If you study the generation of Abraham, you will see strongholds in that family.
For example, Abraham told Abimelech a lie that Sarah was not his wife. About forty years later, Isaac, his son, told Abimelech and Pharaoh the same lie. Sixty years later, Jacob and his mother deceived the same Isaac. Eighty years later, Laban deceived Jacob. Hundred years after, Jacob’s children also deceived him, and one hundred and twenty years later, Reuben slept with his father’s wives. One hundred and forty years later, Judah slept with his daughter-in-law – a cycle of strongholds from generation to generation.
In a stronghold, the enemy moves from one generation to another, in which case the spiritual vandals entrench themselves.
So, whichever way they have been attacking your destiny, you can fight back, and your parental background will determine the intensity of the battle.
If Israel did not go to Egypt, they would not need to cross the Red Sea because we don’t choose our battles nor our enemies and problems, but we can choose our weapons of retaliation. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. The weapons of our warfare are not fighting, shouting, or carrying things to fight the strange woman. Some people become “supernaturally stronger” when they get angry; when about six men hold them, they would not be able to handle them; at that stage, a stronghold is at work in their lives.
A man started a drama on his wedding day. As he put on his suit, he removed it, he put it on again and removed it, and as he continued this way, his best man asked him, “My friend, I hope there is nothing wrong?” He told him he did not feel like going to the wedding again. Why? Because he had a spirit wife. Eventually, he finally removed the suit and went to play table tennis while his bride was expecting him at the church.
The fact that you have a problem means that you have something worth contending for. Therefore, vandals of your destiny must be burnt to ashes.
You too should confess this:
My raindrops will wash away mountains. My ants will devour tigers. My star shall brighten the earth. I will never embrace defeat, in the name of Jesus.
You need to cry unto the Lord to rearrange anything vandals have destroyed in your life.
A bride was shedding tears of joy at a wedding reception. When curious well-wishers asked her why she was crying, she showed them a picture she had taken three years earlier. In it, they found her crippled and crawling on a belly. She was at a meeting where God healed her. Otherwise, it might have been difficult to find a husband in that condition. Certainly, evil powers had arranged her destiny for her, but God changed it miraculously.
I want to encourage you to pray the way you have never prayed before. It doesn’t matter how long you have been in your situation. If you have been diverted and vandals have destroyed your destiny, it is time for you to cry unto God for rearrangement. Blind Bartimaeus cried out for rearrangement and God Almighty rearranged him.
God will never reject a cry from the depth of the heart. This is an opportunity you cannot afford to lose if you want a change of your destiny. But as you pray, first confess any sin in your life that can hinder you.
shalom!
