Read Deut. 18:9 – 12 from your Bible.
Many sisters who possess familiar spirits do not know. Evil spirits have more than a common interest in women.
The devil hates women with perfect hatred. He targeted women right from the Garden of Eden, and in the plan of redemption of man, prophecy says, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between her seed and thy seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heels.”
So in the plan of redemption of man, it was the seed of the woman and not of the man that would bruise the serpent’s head. Hence, satan’s agenda for women is not palatable at all.
A lot of sisters are being troubled by this. Satan knows that women have great power, right from the cradle, in the kitchen and in the womb. He knows that if he can harass those three areas, he will control the world.
Many sisters are already inside the agenda of the enemy, but if you keep quiet and think it’s one of those things, you are in serious danger.
Sometime ago, somebody was brought to me. I realised that what the person needed was deliverance from familiar spirits. When I told her, she bluntly refused, saying that she was a child of God who couldn’t have had anything to do with the devil.
I took time to explain to her that her salvation would enable her to win the war, as she was sure to perish if she failed to fight. Still, she bluntly refused to be prayed for. So, I let her go.
As she was going, I watched as she asked a sister who accompanies her whether she swims in water while sleeping. That sister said, “no”. She also asked her if she ever ate rice and yam in the dream. Again, the sister said, “no”. “You mean it is not normal to have such experience in the dream?” she asked the sister. The sister said that, it was quite abnormal and that she must go for deliverance. It was then that she had a change of heart. Her case was that of an unconscious initiation.
What I have been talking on so far has been a general overview of the familiar spirit world.
The enemy has cleverly introduced things like the “Ogbanje” spirit, “Emere” spirit and the familiar spirit into the black man’s world.
However, familiar spirits can be cast out in the name of Jesus according to Mark 16:17. (Read it from your Bible).
Nevertheless, to be able to do that, you must give your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God so you maybe able to stand against the wiles of familiar spirits – Ephesians 6:10-11.
To be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might is to be strong in the Word of God and be filled with the Holy Spirit always. To put on the whole armour is to wear the various aspects of the armour.
