Read Hebrews 11:33-34 from your Bible
Your “faith” is the principal spiritual force that will earn you victory, triumphant living, enable you to subdue the powers that try to stop you, conquer territories, etc. The people of old subdued kingdoms by their faith in God’s word; hence, it is by the same force of faith (in God’s word) that we can hope to win over spiritual battles. The kingdom of poverty, kingdom of barrenness, kingdom of singleness, kingdom of sickness, etc. were all subdued and can be subdued by faith.
Isaiah 54:17 declares that “No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper.” However, it is by faith that you will be able to destroy these weapons. Lions were torn apart by faith. No matter the strength of the opposition, you can overcome them if you have faith.
David used only a sling and a stone to blow off the head of Goliath. This was faith in action. Daniel spent a night in the lions’ den and came out unhurt. That was faith. Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego entered into a furnace of fire heated seven times and came out unhurt. That was faith. These accounts are not mere stories, but true testimonies intended to build faith in our hearts.
Romans 15:4 says:
“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”
When the enemy pushes you into the fire of affliction, you can walk through it and not be hurt if only you have faith (cf. Isaiah 43:2).
You must build your faith in what God’s word says. The scripture did not mince words when it says “this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4). Problems will come. Battles will rage. But with strong and growing faith, we are overcomers in Jesus’ name.
