WHY GOD CURSES & HOW TO ESCAPE 1 – Until you are saved

Proverbs 3:33 says:

“The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.”

When you hear the word “wicked”, you may say, “Anyway, I’m not a witch”; because to you, only a witch is a wicked person. But look at Isaiah 10:11:

“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”

If you cannot be classed as “the righteous”, then you are ‘the wicked ” God is talking about. Until you are saved therefore, you remain under the curse of God.

The Bible says, “All have sinned, and come short of the glory (or of the blessings) of God” (Romans 3:23). So, the first person that needs to run for his life is the one who is not yet born again. Such a person is under the curse of God. Salvation is your number one escape from the curse of God.

Hebrews 2:3 says:

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation…”

When you neglect the great salvation, you can’t escape the curse of God. It’s one thing to be in church, and another thing to be a member of the body of Christ. Salvation is your initiation into the body of Christ.

Jesus said in John 15, that you can’t bear fruit except you abide in Him. So if you are not in Christ, you will be fruitless, you will be barren, the work of your hands won’t produce for you and your efforts in life will end in futility!

How can a branch bear fruit independent of the stem? It’s not possible! “…No more can ye, except ye abide in me”, says Jesus, The Vine. When you are out of the Vine, you are fruitless, you are barren; and you are under a curse!
