Two women came to me a few days ago and said, “Pastor we want to see you”. I sat them down and the younger one started to talk.
She said that their mother called all her children and said to them, “Whatever you can do to obtain freedom, do it” When they asked her why she said so, she explained that her own mother (the granny of these two sisters), called her and told her that in a particular year, she went before the family idol and requested that the idol should take all the money, riches and wealth she had and substituted them with children, so that she would have many children around her at her death.
According to her, the request was granted, but the snag was that even though there were now many children in the family, their lives were plagued with abject poverty.
They found it difficult to eat and to make ends meet.
These women know nothing about this covenant before it was revealed to them. And since they are part of that family they will have their own share of it
This is the common situation in many families.
People’s lives have been destroyed by evil charms (juju), and many of our forefathers pounded day-old babies in mortars, all in the name of looking for power.
Some planted evil trees and declared, “This tree represents Mr. X, or Mrs Y, and whatsoever we do to this trees will happen to such an individual.”
Today, many people are suffering for what they know nothing about.
However, if you have given your life to Jesus, your name should not be in the book of covenant because Jesus blotted out the handwriting of ordinances (covenants, evil accusations, etc.) that was against us, and contrary to us and nailed it to the cross – Colossians 2:14.
Nevertheless, to enjoy this benefit, you will need to appropriate it by faith before you can enjoy the practical benefit – the fight of faith.
Sometimes, it will require that you fast and pray to enforce it. But you must allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. (Romans 8:26).
shalom!
