DESTROYING THE CURSES OF LIFE 7 – The Curse of Satan

The curse of Satan has been the concern of many Christians, yet it is the least of all. It is real, but it is the cheapest to handle. When you are on course with God, you render the curse of Satan ineffective, worthless, null and void!

Have you not heard? “Neither give place to the devil.” That’s what Ephesians 4:27 tells us. So Satan can’t perform without your permission. He seeks your permission to operate.

You will understand this better in this illustration given by Jesus in Luke 11:24-26 ( read it from your Bible).

This makes it clear that Satan cannot operate without man’s permission. Make these declaration: “Lord, help me to keep my door closed to the devil.” He is called The Wicked.

See how in such a very short time, he levelled Job’s entire fortune! Job’s story is a reality of the curse of Satan. But thank God, you are greater than Job, because you have the very life of God inside you! Job didn’t have that. 1 John 5:18 says:

“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”

That gives you an idea that the enemy cannot inflict his curses without an open door. So it’s possible to be free from his touch. It’s possible to be free from the curse of Satan when you keep yourself.

The curse of Satan is helpless when you’re on course with God. You become an impossible case for any witch or wizard. You can cheaply disarm them, when you give no place to the devil. When you’re no longer under his domain, every mark of his in your life is illegal. You have been translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13)

You are now seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. So Satan has no say at all in your life anymore! You’re far above the realms of Satan and all his cohorts (Ephesians 1:20-21, 2:6). You can handle them all!

When you are free from the curse of God, you become automatically free from the curse of Satan. Satan will only tread on a man under the curse of God. Note that the curse of God thrives as one walks in the flesh. Remember Job was living in fear (Job 3:25). Just like faith is of the spirit, fear is of the flesh.

Read Romans 8:1-2 from your Bible.

The curse of Satan is the weakest. Yet it has taken all the attention of the Church, so that the sons of God can be blinded to the real issues of their lives. Look at the curse of bitterness for instance; if you’re binding Satan over that, he will just be laughing at you. Why? He is not the cause. This is where many are suffering.

Thank God you’re free from stealing, thank God you’re free from adultery, thank God you’re free from fornication, free from envy; but these curses need to be dealt with.
