You must be expectant. That places the responsibility of waiting, upon you. The Bible says, “My soul, wait thou only upon God. For my expectation is from him.” (Psalm 62:5). This kind of prayer cannot be approached with the “hit and run” method. You may not hear anything for a week or a month, you must wait all the same. Don’t be discouraged. You cannot pressurize God or coerce Him to dance to your tune. He will speak to you in His own way and at His own time.
However, you must remember that there are three types of voice: the voice of God, the voice of the devil and your own voice. But the moment you have covered yourself with the blood of Jesus and proclaimed the lordship of Jesus upon your life, the devil will not be able to speak to you.
