Not everyone sitting in church is sitting right with God.
Some have perfect attendance but zero repentance. đ
They wear suits, carry Bibles, and speak Christian fluently but their hearts are still distant from the One they claim to serve.
âThese people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.â Matthew 15:8
Heaven isnât impressed by attendance; itâs moved by obedience.
Hell wonât just be full of criminals itâll also be full of churchgoers who knew the lyrics but never met the Lord.
Because you can be close to the altar and still far from salvation. đ
Some people have mastered the performance of worship hands lifted, eyes closed, tears flowing
but when service ends, so does their Christianity.
They pray loud on Sunday, but cheat, gossip, and lie louder on Monday.
They can quote Scripture but canât live Scripture. đ
âNot everyone who says to Me, âLord, Lord,â will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father.â Matthew 7:21
The devil doesnât mind you going to church,
as long as you never change in church.
Heâll let you sing, dance, shout âamen!â and still go home unchanged.
He knows itâs not the sitting in church that saves; itâs the surrendering to Christ that does. đ
âHaving a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.â 2 Timothy 3:5
Some are members of the church but strangers to the Kingdom.
They serve positions but not purpose.
They follow pastors but not Jesus.
They love the crowd but ignore the Cross. âď¸
âIf anyone will come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.â Luke 9:23
Weâve mistaken religion for relationship.
Weâve learned how to âlook holyâ without living holy.
The church has become a stage for performance instead of a place for transformation.
We want titles prophet, apostle, minister but not the brokenness that births true humility. đ
âThis people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me.â Isaiah 29:13
Some attend church just to be seen, not to be changed.
They come dressed for fashion, not repentance.
They judge the choir, gossip about the pastorâs wife, and scroll during worship.
They know the schedule of every service but not the Savior of their souls.
The church has become familiar and familiarity has killed the fear of God. đ˘
âThe fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.â Proverbs 9:10
Some people are hiding behind church work to cover their heart work.
They think being busy for God is the same as being right with God.
But activity is not intimacy.
You can be active in ministry and inactive in repentance.
God doesnât just want your service He wants your surrender. đ
âI never knew you; depart from me, you workers of iniquity.â Matthew 7:23
My gee, heaven keeps records not attendance lists but repentance lists.
Your name on the church roll means nothing if itâs missing in the Book of Life. đď¸
âAnd anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.â Revelation 20:15
So before you post âGod is goodâ again, ask yourself
is He Lord over your lifestyle or just a caption for your Sunday story?
Because real Christianity is not about how loud you sing, but how well you live when no oneâs watching. đ
Donât just be a church member; be a Kingdom citizen.
Donât just attend; abide.
Donât just carry a Bible; let the Bible carry you.
Because on Judgment Day, it wonât be âWelcome, chorister,â or âWelcome, usherâ
Itâll be, âWell done, good and faithful servant.â đ
âExamine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.â 2 Corinthians 13:5
