Another thing sponsored by ancestral kingdom is “Family altar.” From what we know, one thing that could open door to opposition, similar to that of the Midianites, is idolatry. Gideon’s father had his personal altar. And I believe that many other families had theirs too.
Before Gideon could progress, he was instructed to destroy the altar of his father’s house. That was very instructive. It will be practically impossible to attain the kind of height God desires for us if we have a link with ancestral kingdoms, especially, through “Family altars.”
Some unfavorable prevailing circumstances can make people seek help from fallen angels, and set up personal or family altars or shrines where they worship these deities. If we must do great things such altars must be destroyed.
