When the catching away of the Christians (the Rapture) takes place and the world is in temporary turmoil due to the sudden disappearance of millions of Christians from the face of the earth, it will be then that the leaders of Western Europe will “have one mind, and give their power and strength,” their full authority to one man. He will become, thereby, “the king of the revived and revised Roman empire and” the beast,” so-called, and the antichrist of the Tribulation Period.
Having been given that “power and authority,” he then will become the one who shall sign the covenant (Daniel 9:27) of agreement to serve as “the protector of Holy Land interests.” Daniel 11:36 describes him as “the king” that shall exalt himself, stating in Daniel 11:39 that he “shall divide the land for gain.”
This correlates with Daniel 7:8 and 24 that give further detail concerning this endtime king and his actions.
