DEALING WITH FOUNDATIONAL ALTARS

“But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.”(Deut. 7:5)

There is a strong link between your destiny and some foundational altars in your father’s house. Many parts of the world come from a background of primitive idolatry and animism. Our forefathers worshipped idols. There is no way anyone can worship idols without raising an altar. Idols are possessive. They demand worship. They ensure that those who worship them create or erect altars where libations are poured and materials of sacrifice are offered . Adherents physically demonstrate their allegiance and consecration to the idols.

Our forefathers who worshipped idols did not really know about the overpowering influence of the altar. As far as they were concerned the family idol altar is only a place where contact can be made with ancestors and communal idols. Little did our forefathers know that by erecting altars, they were constructing an evil platform or foundation for the destiny of future generations. The altar constructed by our forefathers were foundational. Unconsciously, they have built a foundation upon which many of us have continued to live our lives.

No matter how glorious your destiny is, if it has been built on the platform of evil foundational altars you cannot go very far in life. Altars are so powerful that a single one can affect the lives and destinies of generations of unborn children.

However, Jesus, delivered us from the power of foundational altars through His death, burial, and resurrection.

Read Colossians 1:13 -14 and 2:14-15 from your Bible.

So, legally, the believer now has authority to destroy foundational altars in the name of Jesus Christ.

Read Matthew 18:18, Luke 10:19, and Philippians 2:9-10.

Nevertheless, I will be sharing with you deliverance prayers that will liberate you from the power of foundational altars at the very end of the series of teaching on this subject.

In the next write up I will be discussing the power and biblical example of foundational altars.

NOTICE: the mere fact that you are born again will not automatically deliver you from the power of foundational altars. You must recognize it, and destroy it by renunciation. Just as salvation is not complete until there is confession (Romans 10:9, 10), deliverance must be preceded by verbal pronunciation.

Read Proverbs 11:9b from your Bible.

May God grant us victory in Jesus name.

Shalom!
