Forgive
Concerning that unforgiving servant (whose master forgave his huge debt, and he himself refused to forgive the man who was owing him a very small amount), the Bible says in Matthew 18:34:
“And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that due unto him.”
That tells us that unforgiveness delivers people to the tormentors. Think of that person that it’s been difficult for you to forgive, and say, “I forgive you, in the name of Jesus. “Free yourself from the torments of life, because if you don’t forgive, Jesus will not forgive you!(Mark 11:26).
Remember also that he that covers his sin shall not prosper (Proverbs 28:13). His prayer shall not be answered, because, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”(Psalm 66:18). And you also know of course, that, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”( Ezekiel 18:4).
Forgive that man! Forgive that woman from the dept of your heart! God said to Cain, “Thou art cursed from the earth.” That is, you will never matter here on earth. John said in 1 John 3:15:
“Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”
That means he is dust, he is cursed! Eternal life is the only thing that lifts the curse that is upon man.
One of the immediate consequences of bitterness is sickness; bitterness breaks your innerman, causing your countenance to fall.
Proverbs 18:14 says:
“The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?”
Friend, the curse of bitterness makes life choking! It makes Labour unfruitful! So, loose that man and let him go, otherwise you remain in chains for life! Loose that woman you’ve been tying down in your heart and let her go!
1 John 4:18 says:
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
When love has a question mark in your heart, you suffer torments in life. That means hatred breeds torments. Everyone that hates is under a curse. Everyman that embraces bitterness is bound to suffer torments.
Read 1 John 3:14-15 from your Bible.
Hatred is a curse. It inflicts curses. If you’re not loving, you’re abiding in death.
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”(1 John 3:18).
Hear this again: bitterness has a choking effect! It brings about health break down, mental pressure, unproductivity, name it! Bitterness is an enemy of man’s progress. It’s a secret destroyer! It’s a very silent destroyer! You don’t hear its “footsteps”, it just creeps in and begins to destroy. It causes havoc! It’s deadly!
Break that hold of bitterness on your life today! It’s over to you. You can be free!
Now, let God hear you say:
“Lord, deliver me from the curse of bitterness.
Infuse continuous goodwill in my heart towards all men.
Help me to remain excited at the progress of others.
Give me joy in my heart for those that succeed.
Help me to stay excited about Your hand of favour upon my neighbour.
Deliver me, o Lord, from the bondage of bitterness, in the name of Jesus.”
shalom!
