The Lord hates witchcraft, “Thou shalt not suffer witch to live” (Exodus 22:18). “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God” (Lev. 19:31).
“And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people” (Lev. 20:6).
These are strong words from the Lord which the church must take heed to obey to the letter. It is our duty as people of God to rid our churches of witchcraft and demonic spirits. We should hate witchcraft the same way our Lord does and not sit around to condone them in the name of tolerance and love!
i. Don’t Fear Them . Greater is he that is in you. Make sure there is no room for them in your heart and life.
ii. Return The Church to Prayer . My house shall be called the house of prayer. Rebuild the prayer life of the church. Call the church to time of corporate fasting and prayers.
iii. Set up The Intercessors . Get some truly committed Christians to pray and intercede for the church on a
weekly and daily basis. It must be a secret work, largely unknown to majority of people.
iv. The Pulpit Must be Clear . Preach, pray, teach and minister against witchcraft, familiar spirits and demonization in the lives of the people. Call people to repentance and denouncing of devilish works.
v. Persistent Warfare . Don’t stop praying, interceding, talking and working against demonic activities in the church. While you must continually lift up the Lord Jesus and glorifying the power of the Lord, yet you must never forget to resist, bind and destroy the works of the devil that wants to render the church powerless.
Except the church that deliberately wages war against them, they will try to be in every church. And unknowingly, we open doors for them to operate when we fail to pray, fast, do spiritual warfare on continuous basis and are careless in picking people to work in the church.
shalom!
