The devil uses “the researched knowledge” he gathered over the years. He has a thorough working knowledge of man and how to trap him. He also runs a network of information storage system from which he draws up his plans. Man’s weakness emanates from his ignorance of who the devil really is, while the devil’s strength lies in his perfect knowledge and familiarity with man’s strengths and weaknesses. The devil uses his reservoir of knowledge to manipulate mankind. For example, if the devil knows the area in which you are weak, he will use that area as an entry point into your life to wreak havoc on you. The devil is not stupid. He won’t attack you in your strong areas. He will locate the area where you are most vulnerable and where you are most likely to lower your guard, and then wait for an appropriate time to strike.
However, if you are born again, by inviting Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior, you are admonished to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-11).
To be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might is to be strong in the WORD and be filled with the Holy Ghost praying always in the SPIRIT.
To put on the whole armour is to wear the various aspects of the armour which symbolize spiritual truth.
shalom!
