“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:17).
The Mark of the beast is one of the clearest and most dramatic prophecies in the Bible. It states precisely and simply that in the last days, no man will be able to buy or sell anything unless he has the mark – in his right hand or forehead.
Years ago, such an implant would have been impossible. But now the technology exists. Computer terminals, grocery store scanners, satellites and microchips now exist which can easily make such a system possible.
This new technology makes it easier to understand how a modern-day person would accept the mark.
Only a decade ago it would have been extremely difficult to imagine intelligent humans willingly subjecting themselves to a brand on their forehead or hand. The “mark” would have been so demeaning that certainly widespread resentment and rebellion would hinder its implementation, even with the non-Christians.
But today, with the microchip implant system, the “mark” could easily be accepted by non-Christians without any external embarrassment or degradation. As a result, it is psychologically more palatable to the uniformed who do not understand the consequences of its spiritual meaning.
In the new global economy, it will be extremely difficult to survive without the mark.
Once the enforcement machinery is set up, no one will be able to get or to hold any kind of employment, nor will he or she be able to conduct even a one-man sales business of any kind without the mark.
Even if a person has money or other valuables stored away somewhere, he or she will be unable either to spend money or sell property without the mark – since in the new GLOBAL ECONOMY cash will become obsolete.
Jesus is coming soon to rapture the church give your life to Him now and receive eternal life and be rapturable to escape the impending Great Tribulation.
