You remember that Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River. As He came straightway up out of the water, the Spirit of God descended upon Him in bodily shape and form like a dove.
Then a Voice spoke from Heaven, saying “. . . Thou art my beloved Son; IN THEE I AM WELL PLEASED” (Luke 3:22). Therefore, God found no fault in Him. In fact, God the Father said He was well pleased with Jesus.
Then God also spoke from Heaven on another occasion about Jesus. You remember when Jesus took Peter, James, and John and went up to the Mount of Transfiguration. The Bible says that the cloud of God’s glory overshadowed them.
MATTHEW 17:5 “. . . A BRIGHT CLOUD overshadowed them:and behold A VOICE OUT OF THE CLOUD, which said, THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED; hear ye him.
Jesus pleaded God because He was and is the Holy One (Rev. 3;7). In other words, God found no fault in Him.
