A great number of people today are in bondage as a result of covenants and promises made by their parents to spirits on their behalf. This could either be before they were born, or while they were young. Childhood years are the weakest stage in human development and life. Demons take full advantage of these weak stages. About 75% cases of deliverance ministrations that I have handled are traceable to the things that took place before the birth of the patients. Others happened while they were young.
Parental covenants are strong and binding because of the authority parents have over their children. Satan knows this, and stands by it even after these children are converted to Christ. Until these covenants are broken by the higher authority in Jesus Christ, the victims would remain in bondage.
For instance, a sick child could be taken to a native or witch doctor for healing. In most cases, the native/witch doctor would give out his prescription, which could include items to prepare concoctions and charms for the child’s healing. Sometimes, parents could be required to recite certain incantations or make promises to spirits on behalf of their children. This they would do without any knowledge of the spiritual implications of such utterances.
To these concerned parents what would be important will be the recovery of their children from whatever diseases or ailments they are suffering from. In most cases, incisions could be made on the body of a child, accompanied by certain incantations said by the native/witch doctor. The spiritual implication here is that the child’s blood has been used to seal the covenant made by the parents to secure his healing. The child could never claim innocence of the covenant, because his blood, which is his life, was used to seal it. The devil, that old trickster, knows what he is doing and how to get his coverts and victims.
African culture, which encourages ancestral worship, consultation with witch doctors, has contributed immensely to this problem through these practices, hence a great number of people are affected.
If you are a victim of parental covenant, stand on Colossians 1:13-14, 2:14-15, Isaiah 49:24-26 and nullify the legal ground and break the covenant intensely engaging the blood of Jesus.
But, first, give your life to JESUS as your Lord and Savior and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
