“Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1)
You can lay aside that spirit of bondage, that spirit of whoredoms, that lying spirit, etc. You have a choice.
You have the power to lay it aside, or God wouldn’t ask you to do so.
You can handle it! You can deal with it!
The Bible says:
“But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.” (Romans 13:14)
That means it’s only your provision that grants it entrance. But as far as God is concerned, it has no power over you.
