Read Proverbs 13:20 from your Bible
Bishop Oyedepo says, “The Company you keep determines what accompanies you.” Keep company with those who have value for and enjoy God’s grace, and it will rub off on you.
Beware of the relationship you keep!
Read Amos 3:3 from your Bible
You can determine the company you keep, because friendship is not by force but by choice. You can make a conscious and deliberate decision as to the company to keep.
One of the Scriptures that helps me a great deal in this respect says in Proverbs 27:17:
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
To grow in grace, locate people who are evidently products of a growing grace of God on their lives, and choose to keep company with them.
Disconnect from those who are not ready to grow in grace, so that their stagnation will not rub off on you. Remember: Stagnant water, they say, stinks.
Just as many others and me have done, make a choice to grow in grace and I can guarantee you, you will be glad you did.
shalom!
