These are ancestral strongmen, demons from the ancestral world. When you fast and pray aggressively and see manifestations of giant personalities resisting you, know that the ancestral demons are at war with you.
Read Luke 11:21-22 from your Bible
Giants are synonymous with oppression, holding down, intimidation, etc. Hence, these ancestral demons seek to intimidate you from fulfilling your God-given destiny.
However, Jesus Christ, has legally delivered us from the authority of ancestral strongmen through His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension.
Read Colossians 1:13-14, 2:14-15, and Ephesians 2:6 from your Bible.
Nevertheless, you may not experience the reality of your freedom from ancestral strongmen, until you begin to take authority over them on daily basis; because, you have been given the authority to do so.
Read Luke 10:19, Matthew 18:18, and Philippians 2:9-11 from your Bible. ( Scriptures of authority)
How do you take authority over the ancestral strongman?
Look at how it is done below:
Pray like this daily.
- You ancestral strongman of my family, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command you to stop in your operations against me, stop your manipulation against me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command you to cease and desist in your maneuvers. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command you to take your hands off me. I plead against you the blood of Jesus – for 5 minutes (daily)
- Every ancestral altar sponsoring the strongman be destroyed by the blood of Jesus – for 5 minutes (daily)
- You ancestral elders of my family, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command you to stop in your operations against me, stop your manipulation against me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command you to cease and desist in your maneuvers. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command you to take your hands off me. I plead against you the blood of Jesus – for 5 minutes.(daily)
This is a daily prayer because ancestral strongmen do not die, you can’t cast them out to anywhere because they are ruling powers, you can only overcome them. When you take authority over them consistently you weaken them and render them ineffective and they would not be able to function but if you stop the prayer after a while they reinforce again. See what Jesus said about the strongman (Luke 11:21-22)
But before you engage the ancestral strongman, first, give your life to JESUS as your Lord and Savior and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Romans 10:9, Acts 1:8)
Then be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God so you maybe able to stand against the wiles of the ancestral strongman Ephesians 6:10-11
To be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might is to be strong in the Word of God and be filled with the Holy Spirit always. To put on the whole armour of God means to wear the complete armour of God and not just a piece of the armour.
