Read Judges 6:1-17, 25-27 from your Bible
From the above biblical account, let us dig out some salient points. It paints a picture of a besieged Israel and greatly impoverished as a result of the activities of the Midianites and Amalekites. Their poverty was not as a result of inactivity or low performance. Rather it was as a result of EXTERNAL FORCES that were given legal ground because of the sin of idolatry.
Earlier, we have seen that one of the sins that God frowns at seriously is the sin of idolatry. Any time a person or a people engage in idolatry, they open themselves up to generational problem (aka ancestral problems).
Prior to their “impoverished state,” the children of Israel had gone into idolatry. God then gave them up to the attack of the Midianites and others. Similarly, we trigger the same fate in our lives when we practice idolatry.
Read 1 John 5:21 from your Bible.
I will share with you three phases of deliverance prayers that will liberate you from ancestral bondage and yokes at the very end of the series of teaching on this topic.
Shalom!
