Poverty of Achievement prevents people from achieving good things. It promotes failure no matter how hard working its victim is.
A young person sitting for the same examination two, three, or even six times without passing is suffering from the poverty of achievement. Working in a place without promotion for many years is an evidence that one is a victim of achievement poverty.
A man who has served the government for thirty years and has no personal house of his own or a man living in a house for twenty years as a tenant without ever thinking of buying his own land is suffering from poverty of achievement. If you cannot point to goal-posts of success in your life, it is an evidence of this type of poverty. If at forty years of age, a man is yet to be married, and is still depending on relatives to feed him; he is likely to be a victim of this type of poverty.
The hall-mark of achievement poverty is failure. God has not created you to be a failure. You can become what God wants you to be – a success.
