Spiritual poverty is the root cause of all other types of poverty. Everything that happens in the physical has its spiritual roots. This is because man is a spirit. If a person is physically poor, the physical poverty is an outward manifestation of spiritual poverty. A man is spiritually poor when he is in spiritual association with the devil, who is the main agent of poverty. When a life is at the mercy of spiritual powers other than God Almighty, such a life is spiritually poor. A life is spiritually poor when the spirit is cut off from God, his Maker. A spiritually poor life will seek for satanic powers to make money even at the expense of his soul and life. A spiritually poor life cannot pray to God for wealth such a life is sold to the demon called mammon, living to amass money but at the expense of his peace. Victory over spiritual poverty is necessary to be able to live a fulfilling, prospering life.
