Job 34:20.
“In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.”
Many troubles that we encounter came into our lives at the midnight hour – while we are asleep. Things that overturn the destinies of many happen at midnight. As a result of midnight attack, many destinies and lives have passed away. As a result of the same many visions have been aborted, destinies have been interchanged, etc. Many mighty have been taken captive by midnight attack. The mighty in the above scripture represents people who have high intellects, prestige, chief executive officers of companies, governors, senators, Major Generals in the army, Inspector Generals of Police, etc. But while the mighty sleeps, they become ordinary fellows, and thus vulnerable to satanic arrows at midnight, especially when such fellows are not covered by the power of God. What we can deduce from the scripture above is that no matter how mighty or highly placed we are on earth we are nothing when we are asleep especially when we do not have God’s covering. It is the Spirit of God and the Word of God in us that makes us truly mighty and highly placed above arrows that fly at midnight. Our spirit must be built through the knowledge and understanding of God’s word.(Matt.4:4)(Acts 20:32).
