Read Acts 16:16 from your Bible
There is a familiar spirit of divination that possesses people who claim to hear from God even when they have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit. It is not God but a marine spirit that is speaking to or through them.
The lady in the above scripture had a familiar spirit with which she foretold the future.
The practice of “fortune telling” by some people you call prophetess or prophet is influenced by a familiar spirit from the marine world. And it is very common among “spiritual churches.” Those whose parents were priests or priestesses of one goddess or the other inherit such powers. They claim that right from birth this spirit has been with them and they have been seeing things.
The spirit of God only comes upon you after you have been born again. The time Jesus was on earth, he told them; I will go and send the Holy Spirit, the comforter to you. The spirit will teach them all things (The apostles and all those that believed in Him). After being born again, you must then be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
It is the Holy spirit that takes from God and gives to us. If you do not have the Holy Spirit, then which spirit is taking from God and to give to you.
The fact that what the familiar spirit or fortune teller say comes to pass, does not mean God is involved. They are mere “Lying wonder.”
Like the lady in Acts 16 said, this man (i.e. Paul) is a man of God that comes to teach us the way of salvation. Paul was indeed sent by God. The familiar spirit spoke correctly. But Paul looked at her and noticed it was a familiar spirit. He perceived that the spirit speaking through the lady was not of God. He then cast out the spirit. That was what brought Paul and Silas into prison. Her masters suddenly discovered that their source of income had gone; as she used to make money for her master after foretelling the future of people.
This she did through familiar spirit from the marine world. If Paul had not the Spirit of God and discernment of spirits, it would have been difficult to recognize.
There are a lot of problems today, especially in the church because the spirit of error is allowed to operate freely through familiar spirit. Many people who say: “God says” or “thus says the Lord,” never heard from God. God is not a talkative. God speaks through His word. Even Jesus spent all night communing with his father just to receive from Him.
So all those that say “God says, God says” are hearing from another spirit – familiar spirit. And this spirit of divination is from the marine world with the sole purpose to deceive.
All those people that say things (either prophecies or visions) that are contradictory to the word of God are not hearing from God at all.
Read 1 John 5:7-8 from your Bible
This means that whatever the word of God tells you the Holy Spirit will tell you the same thing, and vice versa. If therefore, what somebody says is not according to the word of God, it is clear that the spirit of God is not in him, and such person is in total darkness.
Read Isaiah 8:19-20 from your Bible
If you find yourself in this category you need to break covenant with marine kingdom.
Pray like this with fasting from 12 midnight to 6 pm for 3 days.
- Every covenant from the marine world that is holding me, in whatever way, it came, through which battle is raging my life, by the covenant blood of Jesus, be nullified – Isaiah 49:24-26, Col. 2:14
- Any agreement entered into by anyone on my behalf to keep me in bondage and to cage my future, is nullified by the blood of Jesus – Col. 2:14
- Every marine covenant that is flowing down from my ancestors, down my parents and that is holding me, my destiny, be destroyed by the blood of Jesus – Isaiah 49:24-26, Col. 2:14.
Don’t spend less than 5 minutes on each prayer point at any prayer session and you should pray atleast 3 times a day minimum.
But, first, give your life to JESUS as your Lord and Savior and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God so you maybe able to stand against the wiles of marine kingdom – Ephesians 6:10-11.
To be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might is to be strong in the Word and be filled with the Holy Spirit. To put on the whole armour is to wear the various aspects of the armour.
