TYPES OF FASTING 1 – Regular Fast

This is one of the most practiced types of fast and is usually tagged 6-6 fast. This implies that it begins by 6am, because it is believed that regular daily activity begins at 6am, and the fast concludes by 6pm, usually rounded up with prayers. This kind of fast was engaged in 2 Chronicles 20, when the people of Judah were confronted with a fierce battle.

Most times, when people engage in this kind of fast, they refrain from eating and drinking for the hours of the fast. Although, some might still decide to take water; however, this is based on strength and personal decision. Almost everyone is familiar with this kind of fast because it is practiced in most Churches and other religions.
