Faith is vital in our quest to receive anything from God. It is praying, believing that God has the capacity and will perform that which you request. The Bible states in James 1:7:
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Faith is a spiritual force that commits God’s integrity to make good His promise. It guarantees your access to every inheritance you have in Christ. Faith is the bridge that connects you to your destination. God has no problem confirming His word, if only man will trust Him. The prayer wrapped in faith is making decrees or requests to God based on His word with deep conviction and settled assurance.
It is written in James 5:15, And the prayer of faith shall saveā¦ Prayer of faith is engaging God’s capacity for delivery through the altar of prayer. It is your confidence in God’s capacity that determines the response to your Prayer.
Any prayer without the essential ingredient of faith will not produce results. Scripture says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). This is praying the will of the Father. When you know what God has said concerning a situation from His Word, you can make a demand for it in prayer. Remember, when the devil confronted Jesus, Jesus replied to him with what is written (Luke 4:1-13).
To pray a prayer of faith, you must first locate appropriate Scriptures in line with your request. God will not respond to any prayer not in line with His Word. 1 John 5:14 – And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: You receive express answers to your prayers when it is according to God’s word.
Please understand that every prayer must be made in faith to see the physical manifestation of the same. The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34, believed that if she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be made whole. This, she received, at the instance of her faith. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. For every prayer of faith, you do not wait to see the results before you believe, rather you believe that what you have prayed for has been released, so you rejoice in Him.
