WHY GOD CURSES & HOW TO ESCAPE 4 – Are you robbing God?

Read Zechariah 5:2-4 from your Bible

There is a curse that enters into the house of the thief and stays there until it consumes everything. Who is this thief? Let’s look at Malachi 3:8:9:

“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings

Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.”

Do you see the flying roll? Do you see the curse inside it? Can you see where it’s landing? In the house of the thief and the robber, that’s where!

The Scripture above identifies the thief. He is the man that robs God of His tithe and offerings. The curse of the Lord goes and settles in such a man’s house. If you’re such a man, it’s time to send such a curse packing!

Let me tell you this, it will help you. No one escapes the payment of tithe – you either give it to God willingly or the devourer takes it from you! And he will normally take more than it’s supposed to be. In fact, God’s Word says you pay a percentage charge on whatever you rob Him of. To whom? The devourer!

He said, “Ye are cursed with a curse…even this whole nation.” Why? “Ye have robbed Me.” And they asked, “Wherein have we robbed You?” “In tithes and offerings”, He replied.

When you don’t give God what belongs to Him, you rob Him; and consequently, you come under a curse. Stealing invokes a curse upon a man (Proverbs 6:30-31), let’s run from it. I see you escape every dagger of this curse of God.

In Malachi 3:10-11 the Bible says:

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now herein…if I will not…pour out for you a blessing… and rebuke the devourer for your sakes…”

Friends, worship the Lord, so you won’t serve the devourer! No living man escapes paying tithe. If you don’t give it to the Lord, anything else can take it.

The 10% of your income, which is the tenth, is not your money, it is the Lord’s, “It shall be holy unto the Lord”(Leviticus 27:30); your pressing needs not withstanding. Thank God you’re not the one under pressure! It’s your needs that are under pressure.

No non-tither in the kingdom of Christ will enjoy financial comfort, no matter how hard he tries. Whether you mark it “Tithe” or not, just make sure, with dedicated commitment, that what goes to the Lord is never below a tenth of your income. Then, your financial rainfall will never cease.

Now for those clamouring that tithe is nolonger relevant in the New Testament should read and study Hebrews 7:1-end especially verse 8 – tithe is still very much relevant in the New Testament.
