DEALING WITH THE SPIRIT OF DEATH

DEALING WITH THE SPIRIT OF DEATH

The spirit of death and sickness always travel and operate as a pair

Read 1 Corinthians 15:25-26 from your Bible

Here scripture talks about “the last enemy.” Remember also that sickness is an enemy. If the devil has tried other means to attack you and failed, he may try to kill you in mysterious circumstances.

People have died without being sick. One may go to bed and not wake up. Someone who has been shot with evil arrow may suddenly drop dead. Others may be summoned through witchcraft, occult crystal ball or evil mirror, and struck with death. The enemy can send thunder, heart attack, etc ., to kill somebody. The witchcraft coven may also summon a person and turn the person into an animal to be used for sacrifice or a feast after which the person may also die. They can program accident, stray bullet, armed robbery or assassination against a person. All these are the orchestration of satan. But Jesus had already handled all this for us. What we must do therefore is to put our faith to work.

Read Hebrews 2:14-15 from your Bible

Jesus has defeated the devil. To “destroy” as used above means “to defeat.” We therefore have no need to be afraid of death. Even when you are threatened with death or feel like you may die, rebuke it.

Read Revelation 1:18 from your Bible

The key (i.e. authority) of death and hell now belong to Jesus. Hence, the fear of death should not be allowed to take root in your heart. You can stand upon the word of God and rebuke the spirit of death. Whether it is coming from evil covenant of past generations, it has been dealt with. You may see signs of the spirit of death hunting you (signs of the spirit of death include coffin, skeleton, etc.) All you need to do is fast and pray, and bind the spirit of death. Death is resistible. You don’t need to be afraid of it.

Death always goes with fear; ” …. who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” (Heb. 2:15).
Anytime you feel afraid of dying, know that the spirit of death is lurking around. Rebuke it! This also calls your faith to action. If your faith cannot handle it, you will not be able to overcome. We must therefore, as a matter of necessity, grow our faith so as to overcome the spirit of death.

May the Lord give us victory in Jesus’ name.

Read John 11:25-26, 40-44 from your Bible

In the above scripture, Jesus demonstrated his power over death so that we can draw faith from it. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. He has the authority to quicken us from the dead. And this He demonstrated when He raised Lazarus from the dead after he (Lazarus) had been dead for four days.

Upon the words and demonstration of Christ, we can build faith to be victorious over death. If someone predicts our death by divination or clinical prophecy (i.e ., doctor’s report), you can refute it as Hezekiah did. Only the counsel or report of God will stand. And God says: “ye shall not die but live to fulfill your glorious destiny.” (Psalm 118:17)

Hence, you can stand on the word of God to resist the spirit of death that is threatening your life. Remember you have authority over all devils, including death. It may come through physical or spiritual means, deal with it in the place of prayer. If you overcome the spirit of death, even when you come face-to-face with agents of death, you will escape. But if you fail to deal with it, you may be in your room and death will locate you right there.

Remember Ahab? He had the pronouncement of death hanging upon his head which he did not deal with. He went into battle in disguise. And though the battle was over, an arrow was shot at random which hit him and led to his death. Just like sickness, we also have power to deal with the spirit of death.

Prayer:

  1. Lay your hand upon yourself and command every disease/ sickness to jump out by fire.
  2. Rebuke the spirit of sickness. Call it whatever name the doctors call it and rebuke it.
  3. Bind the spirit of death and sickness, and claim victory over it in Jesus’ name.

Shalom!
