DO THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU SLEEP

  1. Settle Your Heart Before God: Do not carry anger, offense, or anxiety into your sleep. A troubled heart becomes an open door.

Ephesians 4:26–27 says do not let the sun go down on your anger, neither give place to the devil.

When your heart is unsettled, your spirit loses its guard.

Do This
Forgive anyone in your heart. Release every burden in prayer. Speak peace over your mind and commit your thoughts to God before lying down.

  1. Cleanse Your Spirit With The Word: Your last spiritual intake before sleep matters. The Word purifies your inner atmosphere.

John 15:3 says you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

What you feed on before sleep becomes what your spirit meditates on in the night.

Do This
Read at least one portion of Scripture slowly. Think on it. Let it settle in your spirit before you close your eyes.

  1. Pray And Commit Your Night To God: Sleep without prayer is like leaving your door unlocked.

Psalm 4:8 says I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Prayer secures your atmosphere and invites God’s covering over your rest.

Do This
Pray briefly but intentionally. Commit your body, mind, dreams, and environment into God’s hands. Ask for His protection and guidance through the night.

  1. Speak Over Your Night and Your Dreams: Words are not empty in the spirit. What you declare can shape your experience.

Job 22:28 says you shall decree a thing, and it shall be established.

If you do not speak, the night will speak for you..

Do This
Declare that your sleep will be peaceful. Speak that your dreams will be guided by God. Cancel every negative influence and establish divine order.

  1. Enter Rest With Trust, Not Fear: Fear is a signal of disconnection from trust. Faith allows your spirit to rest even while God is working.

Proverbs 3:24 says when you lie down, you shall not be afraid, and your sleep shall be sweet.

Rest is not just physical, it is spiritual confidence in God’s care.

Do This
Let go of control. Trust God fully. Lie down with assurance that He is watching over you even while you sleep.

Final Word

Child of God, how you sleep is as important as how you pray. The night is not just for rest, it is a place where destinies are shaped quietly.

Prepare your spirit, guard your heart, and commit your night to God.

You will not only wake up rested, but you will wake up stronger.

Your sleep is not a biological lapse in consciousness; it is a spiritual transition into the realm of counsel.
